Hi! My name is Michelle Franze and I am the Manager of Communications, Partnerships and Community for the BC Salmon Farmers Association. I also am the Co-founder and Director of the BCSFA Youth Council.
I was born and raised in London, Ont but after receiving my BSc in Marine Biology from Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS, I moved to Prince Rupert, BC. That is where my journey in Aquaculture began. I worked as a Biologist/Larval Supervisor for a scallop production company, which ultimately lead to my position with the BC Salmon Farmers Association here in Campbell River, BC.
I have a strong passion for aquaculture and I think it plays a vital role in food security and reducing our impact on the environment in relation to climate change.
